FAQs
Q: What is the advantage of using WordPress to design my website?
A: We build our web designs to look and perform as typical business websites. But, unlike typical websites, a WordPress site gives you the power and control to update and maintain your website. There are also search engine benefits to using the software so when combined with our search engine optimized templates, your site will have a better chance of getting noticed.
Using WordPress to run your entire business site is both affordable and effective.
Here are several reasons we choose WordPress for business website designs:
- Google loves WordPress - your site will rank higher.
- You can use the blog function to create regularly updated content (i.e. turn your site from a static to dynamic one).
- It gives you an easy - and affordable - way to maintain your site.
- No software needed. You can log into your site from anywhere in the world to update content.
Q: Will I have to take a course or read lots of material in order to maintain my site?
A: If you can operate Microsoft Word, you should have no problem using WordPress. There are many resources available to assist you as you get to know the platform—including Catchup.
Q: What process I can expect when re-developing my website with Catchup?
A: Generally, we collaborate with clients while following these steps:
- Establish the framework (i.e. We’ll establish what structure we need to work with such as a database or base programming structure)
- Develop the look and format of the site - We’ll develop a style sheet that defines things such as font and page layout. We do all of this keeping your brand in mind.
- Develop/deploy any components that may be necessary - We’ll figure out what design and functional components you need on your site and put them in place.
- Data entry and image preparation for positioning on the site - We’ll get all the text, data and any photos necessary for input onto the site.
- In-house website usability and functionality testing (i.e. We’ll make sure the site works the way we want it to with real users?) If the above testing is successful, we make the website active on the Net and then do further testing with external users.
- Search Engine Optimization - We then set up the site for search engine optimization
and tracking. - Proceed with a public launch!
